Charging Batteries / Checking Battery Level

The PowerTube batteries will first need to be fully charged. The initial battery charge will probably only take 2-3 hours, the battery charger light will turn Green when the battery is charged. Subsequent full battery re-charges will take approx. 6 hours time.

Tip: To check the battery charge level in the PowerTube, push down the red Display Button 7 times quickly. The Voltage Display screen will show the batteries current voltage level (3.3-4.2v). When the battery voltage decreases below 3.5v, you will need to re-charge if using at higher voltage settings.

Note: When using the PowerTube, the Voltage Display will flash 5 times when the battery is dead.

Insert Charged Battery

Insert the fully charged battery into your PowerTube. First remove the bottom cap of the PowerTube, turn counter-clockwise to remove. Insert the battery with the positive (+) end first (see pic). Replace the bottom cap.

Check/Change Voltage setting

When you screw the bottom cap on, the PowerTube’s Voltage Display screen will light up, and display the current voltage setting (hold down the red Display Button for 5 sec if it does not). Set your desired voltage setting with the black Voltage Buttons, the Voltage Display screen will display the set voltage. To lock this setting - hold down both black Voltage Buttons until the screen blinks. The voltage setting is now locked and cannot be changed accidentally. To unlock the voltage, hold down both buttons until the screen blinks again.

Insert Atomizer

The PowerTube has a standard 510-threading for use with any 510-type Atomizers.

If you are using the PowerTube 510 Atomizer, screw it onto the PowerTube (clockwise) until it is finger tight. Prime your atomizer (drip 1-2 drops of E Liquid directly onto the atomizer bridge). Insert the DripTip over the atomizer and push down until tight.

You are now ready to use your PowerTube!

Using Your PowerTube

To use your PowerTube, push down on the large side Power Switch to activate the atomizer, and then slowly inhale the vapor.

Note: Do not hold down the Power Switch for too long, try to prevent the atomizer from getting too hot. Do not let the atomizer overheat - If it is too hot, you should give a rest between puffs. Ensure that the atomizer always has sufficient liquid on it.

Ways to use your PowerTube

Dripping

Using Atomizer and DripTip

Drip 2-3 drops of Liquid down the DripTip to the atomizer. Repeat as vapor production decreases, or as the flavor begins to taste burned.

Tip: Try tapping the DripTip gently after dripping the liquid into it, to help the liquid drip all the way down to the atomizer)

Using Atomizer and Cartridge

Fill your cartridge fully with Liquid. Insert Cartridge into Atomizer. Screw Atomizer onto PowerTube. Refill Cartridge as vapor production decreases, or the flavor begins to taste burned. Using Cartomizer or Tube Tank Fill Cartomizer or Tube Tank with Liquid. Screw Cartomizer/Tube Tank onto PowerTube. Refill as vapor production decreases, or the flavor begins to taste burned.

Tips / Techniques

High Voltage

When using your PowerTube at higher voltage settings, you are running the atomizer at very high heat. This will produce more vapor, give a heavier throat-hit, and the vapor will be warmer. To avoid damaging the atomizer, you can use shorter inhales at the higher voltage settings. The e-liquid will also burn much faster at a higher voltage setting, and you will need to re-drip, or refill more frequently. If the flavor tastes burned, you are not getting enough liquid to the atomizer. Do not use atomizer/cartomizer with very little liquid, as this will burn it out.

Atomizer/Cartomizer Resistance

It is recommended that you use Standard or HV(high-voltage) Atomizers/Cartomizers on your PowerPal. LR (low-resistance) Atomizers/Cartomizers are designed to produce warmer vapor on standard 3.7v e-cigs, and will not work at High Voltage settings on the PowerTube.

General Tips & Maintenance

Always disconnect your e-cig Battery from the atomizer when not in use for long periods of time.

Keep up a good habit of daily wiping down all components of your e-cig from excess juice, dust and dirt.

Clean up your cartridges/driptip and atomizer everytime you refill.

Never activate your e-cig battery and atomizer for long extended periods of time. Keep the atomizer from over-heating and it will perform better, and last longer.

Ensure that your atomizer always has sufficient liquid. A dry atomizer will burn out quickly.

Cleaning your PowerTube

For trouble free operation and smooth battery changes it is recommended to clean the main threads once a week with a soft cloth. Be sure to not leave anything behind. A small particle can cause big headaches when trying to change a battery. I strongly recommend an anti-oxidant/galling compound. I personally use GB-OxGard. Only use it on the main threads to prevent galling/seizing. To apply it simply use a small dab on a q-tip and apply it to the male threads. Work the compound into the threads by screwing and unscrewing the top and bottom. After it is worked into the threads wipe off the excess with a soft cloth.

Atomizer Connection: From time to time it will be necessary to clean this connection. Simply use a q-tip and alcohol, wipe out the excess alcohol and allow to dry. I recommend doing this once weekly.

Safety

Charge every new battery completely before using.

Use your PowerTube and charge the batteries frequently.

Keep the PowerTube and batteries out of extreme temperatures, and direct sunlight.

Tip: Push and hold the red Display Button down for 5 sec. to turn the PowerTube Off when not in use.

Use special caution when working with Li-ion cell batteries, they are very sensitive to charging characteristics and may explode or burn if mishandled. User should have enough knowledge of Li-ion rechargeable batteries in charging, discharging and assembly before use.

Always charge in/on a fire-proof surface.

Never leave charging batteries unattended.

Never continue to use an e-cigarette type device if you can feel the battery get hot. If your battery gets hot to the touch, or if it begins smelling: DO NOT USE IT ANYMORE. Let it cool down (1 hour) in a safe environment (outside preferably), and then dispose of correctly, or make arrangements to return, if still under warranty.

If your e-cigarette or device begins activating itself, immediately remove your atomiser and disconnect the battery. Do NOT trust the battery, nor the atomiser anymore from this point on. This means never leave either of the components connected in your pocket, in your nightstand, or out of visibility where you can not immediately separate the two components.
